Crystal Pier Wednesday was a treat.  The forecast of 4.5ft every 14secs and NE 10-15kts had Masonboro firing but crowded while across the inlet we had the Southend all to ourselves.  The wind had held off for most of the morning.  There were about 20 of us spread out to the jetty.  You could get all you wanted with fighting to get it.  I broke out the Pentax sp500 for a couple film shots and got the rest in the Nikon D5000.

yesterday, at Wrightsville Beach, we still had some remaining swell from the weekend.  If you got out early before the tide got it, it was pretty fun.  As the tide rose the swell slowly got buried under the tide for somethings other than a log.  Today a pig would have been best as the tide started to rise.  It's fairly small with a few trying to break outside but its gonna be a low tide thing .  Really slick this morning, should have went fishing.  I bet there are still some drum and trout in the surf somewhere.

more today

sunday the swell had changed more to the N and E but still had some stomach high sets coming in.  did not have time for getting wet, had some burgers at an old buddies house near crystal pier and took the remaining frames on the ae-1.  looks like it has a light leakage problem.  half the pics on this roll had that red band striping through it.

wednesday longboard sessions

today there was a small swell still lingering from the hard SW winds of the last two days.  however, it was hiding under the full moon high tide up and down wrightsville beach except on the south end.  crystal pier there were a few fish and shortboards getting some but the longboards were getting most of the morning tide.
